  • Describe infection risk associated with the different access types, waste-handling option (WHO) ports, dialyzer reuse, and prime waste buckets. 
  • Gain familiarity with specialized equipment and supplies.
  • List where to find audit tools for environment of care (EOC) rounding. 

This course consists of 4 modules to prepare and train inpatient Infection Preventionists (IPs) on infection prevention and control (IPC) practices in dialysis settings in the inpatient facility.

NOTE: Each module may be taken independently and has it’s own CE certificate attached. You must complete all the steps for the module and pass the Knowledge Check to access your certificate.
